JORDAN EMONT

Jordan is available for photo and video assignments in and around Providence, RI.

Jordan Emont was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to San Diego, CA at the beginning of high school. Although the photography spark was lit at an early age, his real development as a photographer came during his time at The George Washington University where he worked as a photographer for The GW Hatchet.

He was photo editor his senior year of college and practiced his craft taking photos of sporting events, high profile speakers, public demonstrations, concerts, VIP parties, and portraits.

His favorite subjects are the natural world, people and food from other cultures, and the intersection of humans, cities, and nature. His inspiration comes from his two favorite photographers: Dietmar Eckell and Edward Burtynsky.

In 2013, he won an Honorable Mention from FotoDC for his cherry blossom photo.

Beyond photography, his passions lie in travel and public health, in which he recently completed a Master’s degree at Yale University. He was a portrait photographer in the area and regularly shot photo assignments for the Yale School of Public Health. Jordan is now attending the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and continues to work as a photographer in the Providence area.
